Sex tourism in Madagascar
Nosy Be, Madagascar
Madagascar must stop sex tourism and child prostitution
In Nosy Be, one of the most tourist areas in Madagascar, a lot of men go
in search of sex and sometimes also love. One could easily give it the dreary
name of sexual tourism taking place in one of the poorest countries in the world:
on one side misery and need and on the other money and presents which fulfilled
the desire of an exotic adventure.
Nosy Be, especially Ambatuluka was exactly a brothel village and 60% of sex tourism was committed by the French. Other nationalities were not missing!
Mixed couples were quite common: there were some part-time marriages: she lived in Madagascar and he lived and worked in Europe, every three or four months he joined his Malagasy family; who knows if he has another wife in Europe? And then, there were the distant girlfriends (or lovers): the European man was going to Nosy Be every year for his holiday and there was a girl waiting for him. More frequently, however, the situation was given by the vacationers looking for girls or children who could give them a sexual company during their vacation. It cost around € 15.00 euros per night. I heard that the child sex tourism problem exists in other cities, like Tamatave, and Diego Suarez, as well as the capital city of Antananarivo; Often the family encouraged (justified by poverty) girls into prostitution. UNICEF estimates that 50% of the prostitutes in Madagascar are under the age of 18. In fact in Ambatuluka I often saw children with orders and it was really something disgusting. Madagascar has so many resources which can be developed without necessarily resorting to sex tourism.

The Floating Piers by Christo and Jeanne Claude
Lago d'Iseo, Italia
For 16 days,
from 18th June to 3rd July, Italy’s Lake Iseo has been
reimagined: 200,000 floating cubes created a three-kilometer runway connecting
the village of Sulzano to the small island of Monte Isola on Lake Iseo and
100,000 squaremeters of shimmering yellow fabric wrapped the floating dock.
It has been a huge success since the first day. We went there on 23rd of June 2016, and the weather was pretty good in the morning (means around 11) Of course they didn't expect such a big crowd like that so some arrangements were still on progress but overall according to our opinion it was well organized. (Click here to see my photos).

Body Worlds Exhibitions
Milano, Tennessee 38358, Stati Uniti
Body Worlds Exhibitions at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan
I even didn’t know about the exhibition and never heard neither, I was just
going around that street to kill some time. Suddenly when I saw that long queue
in front of the Fabbrica del Vapore I decided to visit the exhibition. I didn’t
know what to except until I went there. What
was The Body Worlds’ about? It's about simulating the inner work with real
human bodies belonged to people who declared during their lifetime that their
bodies should be made available after their deaths for the qualification of
physicians and the instruction of laypersons. The method used by Gunther Von
Hagens, is called Plastification, and to be honest I’m not able to explain the
process. Google can help you out for sure! It was amazing to see how the heart
and mind work wonderfully together to make the human beings unique. We are special!!! The
exhibition was not only giving information about the human body, Gunther Von
Hagens, has perfectly combined the anatomy with psychology: feelings. This is
what made it extraordinary!!!, Everyone should see it once, suitable for all
ages. If you have a medical background like me, then it is really cool. The
entrance ticket was quite expensive, € 20.00 but if you think the work behind
you can easily understand also the reason. While going through the tour take
your time to read all the captions because those interesting figures are
matched to some interesting information which helped me to feel that fantastic
moment, that really have completed my experience with the Body Worlds. The main museum is based in Amsterdam so if you are planning a trip there then I highly reccomend it, not only because informative but specially for its underlinying theme.
