Agriculture around Dehigaha Ela

One of the interesting activities around Back Of Beyond  is watching the locals' agriculture. Did you know that tropical countries are among those that contribute most to meet the global food demand? Do you know why? Because the weather  allows more than one harvest a year so the productivity is higher than countries where summer and winter require moments of rest. So, the difficulties that the farmers face are different from what we used to hear and see in our countries. By the other side , some of the vegetables they have are different from what we usually see in our market. The farmers in Dehigaha Ela, even if they didn't speak English tried somehow to make us understand their general situation: the various processes from sowing to sales.
Believe me it has been very interesting. We wished we had more time to spend with them.
